If suspected; seek qualified medical intervention immediately. Do not leave medical help unit until you are satisfied that there is no immediate danger. At home, try to persuade child to drink clear liquids. Acids in juices may irritate child's bottom; regular milk may curdle in child's tummy. Grandma (and my mother, and I, myself} used the following recipe with great success: boil one cup of skim milk in pot with several black pepper corns. Strain into a bottle. Allow to cool, then feed to baby. It has a calming, nourishing effect.

Toilet Training
Stress to have child on a developmental schedule
Relax. A toddler learns an entire language or two, how to use most of his muscles and the occasional social skill,-all in the space of a few short years. When they are ready to dedicate themselves to toilet training, they will. Take your concerns to a physician and try not to pass your stress on to your child. Stressing out your child could actually slow the whole process down. However, Grandma always recommended bribery as a last resort.
